"Hopefully you guys will have better luck with the weather than we are right now. It's been nasty windy since we got here late Saturday night. Its trying to rain as I speak. Hopefully tomorrow and Wednesday will be better.
Haku has some crappy luck when it comes to Moab. Martys house saw Hakus rig again. We were headed out to Behind the Rocks on sunday and his frenched rear spring hangers broke inside the frame. His frame is the shape of a V with the tool box resting against the back of the cab. Luckly it happened on the dirt road and not on I70 headed out. He found a local wheeler that is helping him weld it back together. Hopefully it will be ok. Behind the rocks was fun, white knuckle hill is crazy! We ran Moab Rim today. Nice and windy but still a good day on the trail. My bro-in-law and I were going to run Hells revenge but its nasty out.
Haku is working on his rig right now, hopefully it will repair ok and he'll be able to run the rest of the trip with you guys."
My stuff is back together and the weather has improved. A bit of rain tomorrow (Friday) but its supposed to be a bit better later in the week.
I'm down with whatever. I got invited to do Metal Masher Saturday, so I'll probably do that. Otherwise, I'm down for whatever. I got a weeks pass for Sand Flats (where Fins and Hells Revenge is) so I can do it whatever day people feel like. Todd and I did Fins n Things and Hells Revenge in like 5 hours last year. I expect it to take us longer then that with all the rigs that will be there and everyone's need for pictures and video and checking out the scenery. I think Top of the World will take some more time too.
Volcom and I did the Poison Spider Trio the other day, and I would say everyone on here would be able to do an "up and back" on Poison Spider, but Golden Spike would be seriously pushing it for a lot of rigs. Golden crack was a big ole yawn, but there are some big ledges and lots of tippy spots where lifting of wheels happens even with the flexy rigs.
Should be a good week.
