Great show! It seems alot more interesting than the same old ice and snow they normally encounter.

I watched the first episode, the one where that one veteran driver on Ice Road Truckers quit after driving through town, have missed all the others. Some pretty freaky crap, you couldn't pay me enough to do that!

When we have been on different vacations, quit a few times we have taken "4x4" tours. Some have been pretty cool and feature very narrow roads like those pictured and the drivers drive like they have a death wish. Interesting to say the least. Even in towns, or rather between towns, when we have taken the local bus rather than the more expensive taxis, the roads are usually only 1 1/2 lanes wide, with people, bikes, and parked rigs all over the place, making them even narrower. The bus drivers take these on a full tilt boogie. It was like riding in some very odd 3rd world video game the first time we went on one and I got a lot of video footage of it as it was just insane. we were initially a little tweaked, but then looked at all the locals on the bus (we were de only white folk what be on de bus)most of whom were sleeping after a hard day's work, and relaxed a bit....but only a bit....

Maybe on a bike but not in car or truck.... I like having room to move when needed....

Lol Yeah, crazy roads and even crazier drivers. Not surprising when they talk about the crazy death numbers. But honestly, this looks only a bit crazier than what I'm used to from back home in Slovakia and few other European countries Whimps, and you call yourselves "offroaders"? (kidding) I'd like to rally some of those roads they show on that show. Talk about no room for error; now that would be interesting

I dont think i would have any major issues about doing them, other than the bridges. That is the road themselves though, but with all that crazy traffic, that is what turns me away from wanting to do them at all.

Thanks I keep forgetting to set the DVR for it!

All I can say is the level of stupidity on those roads is overwhelming, the people who live there obviously know of the danger and possible death that exists at every turn (or maybe they don't, too stupid to remember) and they drive like that. Every accident they have encountered too seems to be blamed on them when it obviously wasn't their fault. I wouldn't have paid that bus driver sh!t, I would have driven off, "want to talk to me about it, back up and follow me."
