It doesn't look like that guy even hits speed bumps over 3mph!

Yes, Robyn is well understood. You should be honored Robyn, not many people get a maneuver named after them! Personally I'm glad because the only thing that I would get would relate to hitting trees!

I've been meaning to measure how much lift I lost with the additional front and rear bumper weight and finally got to it today. On the average I lost a huge 1/4" which makes me very happy. Once again OME suspensions prove their worth, I won't even concern myself with the weight of a winch someday.

You should be honored Robyn, not many people get a maneuver named after them! Personally I'm glad because the only thing that I would get would relate to hitting trees!

And it was meant in the honorific, too.

You could have been doing medical research and have had this named after you. Valsalva's Manuever:

The maneuver is based on the fact that when a patient forcibly exhales against a closed nose and mouth while bearing down, as if having a bowel movement, specific changes occur in blood pressure and the rate and volume of blood returning to the heart.

Named a hard off width climb after that, too..."Valsalva's Manuever"

Pete didn't like the 4" holes in my bumper so he scrounged up a set of Tacoma fog lights he had and gave them to me when he fixed my rattle. Thanks Pete! I decided to wire them up today with some non-fog, brighter Silverstars. It was a simple matter of putting the bulbs in and turning them on. Unfortunately no matter what combination of lights I turned on they didn't. Then I found out I had another twist switch on my headlight controls, a fog light switch!

Good grief! I've had it a year!

Almost makes me want to read the manual.

I've used this line for a long time Jon - "Even the best of us makes mistakes, you're now one of the best."

I did what's called the "fog light mod" and "daytime running light mod" for the new lights in the bumper. The first allows the fog lights to be turned on w/o the headlights and remain controlled by the ignition on. Good for people who forget to turn lights off. The second just kills the daytime running lights that I don't like but switched them so I can have them. I have to ground a white in the column to allow the fogs to stay on when the brights are on but not sure if there's any reason to.

So here's my question: There's no dash indicator for the fog lights since they were governed by the primary lights. How to I wire a small LED in the circuit? Is it as easy as wiring a light on the new circuit for the fog lights? Yeah, I neither understand or like wiring.

From one electrical wizard to another, you are simply dealing with a plus and negative on the small LEDS. You should be able to piggy back onto the plus wire and then ground it to have it come on when the lights go on. Just needs to be on the right side of the switch wire...

Adam probably has a much more simple way to do it, but that is what I would do.

I opted to ask rather than experiment as I usually do which requires extra fuses.

I'm thinking it is that easy too Pete.

So why do I have to ask such a simple question after successfully over-riding the fog light control?

    I had pictures, that's why!

I agree with Pete on this. I have little LEDS all over my rig, and they are all just pulled off the hot - post switch - then grounded. Have worked for a while now with no issues.

I wired in two little LEDs to my turn signals so that I can (sometimes) see when I have left them on. When I changed the steering wheel and seats, it put the in instrument blinker lights behind stuff, so I moved the LEDs more towards the center where they are visible. I just used the little 1/4" ones that have the baby bevel and push in with a little pigtail +- wires. They have worked fine like this for 6 years.

Better to ask that have that fine smell of burning electrical stuff coming from under the dash....
