Hey Scott...I've already moved my cj up to Montana so I do not have any rig capable of running Chinaman's this weekend. I was thinking I might be interested ride along, but then Jen gave me the look...
So I would guess then that the main trade off will be line speed.... in theory, the gearing will pull less current, which typically is a good thing, but will require the longer run time to pull line...
I am not a huge fan of smittybilt winches, but that comes possibly from a bad run of winches quite few years ago...their quality may have improved with newer generation. I do like the made in the USA...
Getting closer...CJ fits next to 58 willys

looks good on 33s!
No, but it follows and old jeep/mining road for awhile, so its not too bad at first. The biggest issue I've had with Sherman is wind....its a windy place!
Update on these...it looks like its going to go as a lot, with the exception of possibly the engine hoist....so consider the hoist still available.
Sorry to be a bit slow responding...but sale is pending on the jack. FWIW...they are on a good sale at HF right now.
you want the drill press too...
Hey all....I have some larger shop tools (mostly HF) that I used for work on both of my jeeps, and thinking it might be easier to sell them instead of try to move them to MT. I hate selling this...
A nice fc150 for sale by an OWF member...early 4cyl narrow track is the only downside

The moving plan was built around the expectation that I would go to HITR, but then a few weeks ago a main salmon river trip evolved for the 19-23, and then I would basically have to go straight from...
Last week we started the big move. We drove through a couple hours stop and go traffic getting out of Denver. We had road closures due to high wind (extreme roll over hazard - not good for the...
Price drop to $60 - make an offer if you like collecting parts....
SOLD
Hi all,
Selling a family member's 2016 Subaru Outback Ltd. Its 'fully loaded' with 97,400 miles - listed at $20k, but for FR4x4 members, we can talk a reasonable discount. Vehicle is located...
Originally it would be c-channel....frames weren't boxed until 1976 iirc. Guessing this one has been boxed if any of the original frame is even still in use....
If looking for a bit of a buggy, this would probably fit the bill and not break the bank...

Looks good to me...given our current economics, I don't think the price is unreal.
Stock Tacoma TRD-OR is extremely capable with rear locker etc....the biggest challenge is the stock ground clearance is okay (but not great given the longer wheelbase) and overhang of the rear bed......
can I ask why you want so many rigs?....I am kind of the opposite, and feel like 5 is the max.
I think the reality is I just don't have time even though I'd love to get out....Thurs would be the only chance....
Definitely want to put it in 4wd and use it. I have an LSD to eventually go in the rear D44. I'd also love to put an aftermarket set of leaf springs and some bigger tires! It gets loaded on trailer...
Damn...I couldn't have done this, especially given the time frame, but pricey....did dual exhaust exiting behind the rear wheels on each side. Trying figure out a y-pipe that stayed tucked up...
