    Re: Camp Hale

Many areas were closed due to asbestos contamination. There was a cleanup effort but I do not know if it was completed or not.

Re: Moody Hill is finally open!

As expected people have been going around the section of road with the deep gully in it. They were also staying off the road all the way to the top of the hill. After talking to the FS about it, it...

Re: Tool question: chop vs band saw for metal

I have a chop saw and have used it a lot. Many times I wish I had a band saw. I plan on getting stand for my porta-band.

    Re: Mod For The Day

Not a mod but I replaced the radiator in my JKUR over the weekend.
  11. Re: Something up north this weekend??? Miller / Moody / Kelly?

Fuel pick up issues. It will run fine most of the time but occasionally looses fuel pressure.

I also have several Duracell AGM batteries, two in my truck, wife's car, both of my sons vehicles, no problems with any of them yet. I have been getting them at Sam's Club for good prices.

    Re: Tire repair

Another source for this type of repair is heavy equipment shops. They typically will repair it without question if you tell them it is an off road rig.

Re: Communications -what do you use?

I do not have any personal experience with them but Rugged Radios seem to be popular.

My club has used CB for decades. A few years ago a few members got their HAM licenses. We are now considering switching to GMRS.

    Re: Expensively Bad Day

HVAC equipment has gone up dramatically over the past few years. You should save some money on your utility bills though since the new units will be a lot more efficient.

Re: Black Bear Pass July 8th from Silverton

They always shoot to have it open by the 4th of July weekend, and often make it. I heard it would have opened much earlier this year but the county is short staffed.

Re: Red elephant Hill this weekend?

I just heard there was still snow up towards the lake on Bill Moore Lake preventing people from getting to the lake. A lot of Red Elephant is in the shade and figured there could still be snow.
