Poll: Re: Fabric Doors for Moab Trip

I can take the soft doors with me but the issue is storage of the factory doors once I'm there and wheeling. I was thinking the soft doors would be good for blocking highway wind (at least mostly)...

Poll: Re: Fabric Doors for Moab Trip

the biggest concerns for me are the gaps at the bottom. they seem to be pretty common based on online reviews, I might end up reaching out to Bestop and seeing what they recommend or have to say on...

Poll: Re: Fabric Doors for Moab Trip

I'm thinking an interstate week long trip isn't a good first tryout for the soft doors. They'll still serve well for getting out to trails with some wind and elements protection and the ability to...

Poll: Fabric Doors for Moab Trip

I got some fabric doors for the JL in "early." I ordered them back in June but they were backordered and not expected til next month, well surprise I got them before my Moab trip. Now on to my reason...

    Re: Wheeler Lake 09.12.20

One thing I wasn't expecting was how I had to stay focused for basically the entire length of the trail. Due to it being narrow in some spots, on 33" tires I think there were some sections that I...

    Re: Wheeler Lake 09.12.20

Oh and just one more thing, the sections of trail before, after, and including bowling ball hill are incredibly loose. I think the edge of trail Chris used to get around a trail-blocking boulder just...

    Re: Wheeler Lake 09.12.20

What an awesome run! Thanks Gerald for organizing and leading. Everyone was pleasant and helpful as you can expect out of Front Range 4x4 folks, looking forward to wheeling with them again. I need to...

This looks awesome, I'll have to join sometime. I just barely meet the minimum requirements sounds like.

    Re: Kingston Peak

For those that gave CB advice I have an update. I switched to my old (bulkier which was fine in the Grand, not so much Wrangler) radio and that seemed to work just fine when powered by cigarette...

    Re: 1977 J10 Honcho "Magnum"

Well his work is good and I think he likes doing it. I'll run it by him. Also on his JK he has some really cool rock sliders for his differentials. Has me thinking for my Wrangler :)

    Re: New Bronco Discussion

Yep, that was my problem. I was 4" above factory. Found out that the cheap axles you can get don't work as well as the Mopar ones as they claim. Once I went to the ridiculously expensive mopar ones I...

    Re: New Bronco Discussion

Have you tried sway bar quick disconnects? Now I'm very curious how much better the Grand's front articulation could have been had I disconnected. I was always afraid of asking too much out of the CV...

    Re: New Bronco Discussion

I think I need to take back what I said, after reviewing the video and looking at some pics of my JLR full flex, I think I still have slightly more articulation. Its still super impressive for an IFS...

    Re: 1977 J10 Honcho "Magnum"

I had started talking with my manager (Kevin, he came along for Kelly Flats so some of you may know him) about the Honcho, and he told me his friend is great at making his own bumpers. I got to check...

    Re: 1977 J10 Honcho "Magnum"

The two years that I was referencing was under one of the potential "loopholes" that I was going to shoot for to get it registered. For the normal case it is 5 years between emissions.

Wow that is the best articulation I've seen on an IFS. I bet that is close or the same as my Rubicon.

    Kingston Peak

We had 6 rigs out on the trail today, including 2 new members' first runs. I think Kingston Peak ended up being a great trail for a "green" level trail with hints of "blue" if going by ski hill...
