Re: Cherokee park road and the area

These are from my club's trips. The snow can be much deeper than shown in the videos.

Re: Cherokee park road and the area

My club goes up there snow bashing often, it can be really fun when the snow is deep. A couple of our trip planner were up there scouting this past weekend and there isn't much snow yet.

    Re: 58 Willys Wagon

A cut off wheel should work fine, looks like there is plenty of room to access it. I was given a torch setup a few years ago, don't use it much but it is handy for some things.

The first step will be assessing the roads to see exactly what needs to be done.

    Re: Fire damage.

It will likely be awhile before Moody opens, as the entire area burned. Only the very west end of Kelly Flats burned, I am going to push the FS to open it ASAP.

    Re: Front Axle U-Joints

That is the kit I have. I clamped it in a vise on the workbench and used an air impact to turn it.

    Re: Front Axle U-Joints

The last time I did u-joints on my JKUR I tried the sledge and socket method and it was difficult. I then used my ball joint press and it was much easier.

    Re: 10si alternator rebuild

That type of service is exactly why I like dealing with small local shops.
  16. Re: The Utah Monolith - who's up for a road trip?!

I think it was riveted together, still easy to disassemble. I think there is a time period involved before an item is considered abandoned, this would likely fall under that time period though.

    Re: 10si alternator rebuild

Did you buy the parts individually or a rebuild kit? Are you able to get them locally?

  20. Re: Instrument panel LED lighting upgrade - dimmable?

At first it was but I quickly got acclimated to it. I think the person I used had two options and I went with the whiter/brighter option.
  21. Re: Instrument panel LED lighting upgrade - dimmable?

I had someone (eBay seller) swap all the gauge cluster bulbs to LED in my Silverado, it is way brighter now. It does still dim but not very much.
