  1. Re: "HotOil" warning light and warning chimes today.

I have an '07 and the first thing I did was add an aftermarket transmission cooler. I have never experience the hot oil light.

    Re: Harbor Freight Jackstand Recall

I took mine in today and they said they were covered by the recall even though they are older than the notice states. $65 store credit.

I put Speed Bleeders on all my vehicles to make bleeding extremely easy.

Re: How can a brake pad fail like this?

I vote for sticking caliper. You don't need to clamp the brake line, you won't lose much fluid. Plus since the vehicle is 6 years old I'd at least partially flush the system anyways.

    Re: Rust removal

I should have done this with the cooking discs I just made, probably would have been a better finished product and a lot less mess.

    Re: The Campfire.

I have had these plow discs for years, I got them to make Discada cookers. Finally got around to it.

The rancher I got them from had cut the centers out to repair other discs, the hardest part...

There is only two moderate/hard obstacles and each has an easier line. They are also both short so she could get out if needed. The views are incredible and the lake at the top is awesome.

Wheeler Lake is a must do IMO. Also many roads down in the Ouray/Telluride/ Silverton area.

    Best wishes for your wife.

IMO the dispensary should consider having locked doors and having to "buzz" customers in.

    Re: Crate engines (sbc)

The smallest, a 4.8, does put out 255 hp. I think it would bolt right in as they are still based on the original 350. But as you pointed out you probably couldn't use all your already replaced...

How about a junkyard 5.3 or 6.0? That's what a lot of buggy guys do.

I still need to take mine in and see if they are covered by the recall, but they are holding up the rear axle of my buggy right now.

It makes for a longer day but IMO if your going to do Imogene you should do Black Bear first. Maybe run those Wednesday instead of Thursday.

My only guess is the dual rate slider, piece between the two springs, got stuck and it over compressed the lower spring.

One of my shocks was leaking oil so I decided to rebuild them today. Unfortunately I found some damaged parts.

I ditched the high lift years ago and now just carry a bottle jack with a SWAG axle cradle and high-lift base to set it on.
