    Re: Wrangler 4XE

Iíve seen them just plumbed into the hydraulic lines. Just a couple of master cylinders, more like motorcycle size though....

    Re: Wrangler 4XE

Iíve been thinking of doing cutting brakes, partially for tight turns but also with them I think I would almost never touch my rear locker and pulling a lever briefly is a lot quicker than waiting...

    Re: Wrangler 4XE

Brake based traction control tries to do this, but it's really bad at it. Mostly I just want tank turn functionality. Sure, it will chew the trails up a little, and I totally don't need it, but the...

    Re: Wrangler 4XE

Didn't they say the range was just crazy low, like 3 miles on the trail?

Something I have long been curious about but don't have the physics or experiential background to answer, is will being...

It shouldnít be bad. Iím thinking 3-4 weeks off. If I canít handle it youíll find me in ride planning threads begging to ride shotgun.

    Re: 2011 AMG G55 Build

I asked the doctor if I could wait until winter to do the surgery. He said my choice, but that recovery time tends to be about the same as time left untreated. Waiting 4 months for the surgery...

    Re: 2011 AMG G55 Build

I'm getting surgery on my left hand this Friday, I won't be joining any runs or updating the build thread for a month or so according to my doctor but I'll be back soon enough.
  9. Re: Adopt-a-Trail Clean-up Run Report 7/24/21

Wow, nice pic Gary. I had a front row seat to that as well and was afraid he was going to flop there.

We found very little trash on Barbour as well, mostly shells and glass. After running Barbour I ran the loop backwards to because it looked fun, and I wanted to see if it connected to Devi's Canyon,...

    Re: 1977 J10 Honcho "Magnum"

I thought air based on your symptoms but if they worked, you changed pads and rotors and now they are soft them I'm not sure how air would have gotten in your lines as it doesn't seem like you ever...

Re: Recommended FRS & GMRS radios

I understand James likes to travel super light in his rig, but for those of you with a little more space keeping a spare handheld around has proven quite useful for me. I end up handing out one or...

Re: Recommended FRS & GMRS radios

Ty and I both have the MXT275. Works great. I will mount mine eventually but currently it just sets in my passenger seat when I use it and plugs into my cigarette lighter plug. The cable is so thin...

    Re: 2011 AMG G55 Build

Just metal I have around the house but I don't have the confidence to weld on the axle so I'll take it to a professional for that. They said no problem driving on the road without the brace as long...

One more NSFW pic. The portal vendor didn't have installation instructions so they borrowed a G-Wagon from a friend and are making an install video for me. Here is a shot from that process, fully...

    Re: 2011 AMG G55 Build

I haven't been watching them lately but I have really enjoyed This Old Tony's videos. It wasn't the clamps themselves I was trying to drill out, it was the bolts which had corroded into place so...
  19. Re: FR4x4 default radio channels - what shall we use?

That's what I would like about them I think, I don't have much problem with missed transmissions from someone being talked over by a person not in our group, from what I have seen we usually switch...
  20. Re: FR4x4 default radio channels - what shall we use?

This Smokey and the Bandit clip led to me watching a half hour documentary on the movie on youtube. Thanks.

  23. Re: FR4x4 default radio channels - what shall we use?

Channel hopping is certainly the most compatible and easiest solution. We could table the discussion for a month, be a little more aggressive about switching channels and see how that works out. ...
  24. Re: FR4x4 default radio channels - what shall we use?

I like the single code for all channels idea the best myself as well, along with maybe a channel or two with no codes, maybe 1 and 22 or something like that.

    Re: 2011 AMG G55 Build

Speaking of most boring, I went through about 10 drill bits trying to drill the bolt holes out of my exhaust clamps before I finally wised up, cut off the old ones and just put new clamps on. Might...
