Re: Lil Moab Anniversary Run 4/17/2021

We went through some tight trails, I didn't think Scott was going to make it in that huge truck but with what must have been some great wheel work every time I barely squeezed through something I...

Re: Lil Moab Anniversary Run 4/17/2021

I picked a bad line the first run through but didn't give up, re-evaluated my line, and made it through second try which felt pretty good. I think the lines I can't make first time through end up...

Re: Lil Moab Anniversary Run 4/17/2021

I'll upload pics tonight and post a link tomorrow. Schmitty and I did a bunch of trail on our second loop. Partway through Ty starts talking to me on the gmrs radio from milepost 89 (not sure how...
  6. Re: April 17 Anniversary Day Run - Rainbow Falls / Lil Moab Area

I'm up and ready to go. Looks like I won't even need to run the A/C today.

    Re: Parker Colorado Here

And which one do you pick for you avatar? Maybe you have to rotate it before each run so we recognize you? I'm starting to see the problem with too many Jeeps :steer:

    Re: Parker Colorado Here

Welcome. I'm hoping you do a rotation and bring each rig out on a run it is suited for.

    Re: 2011 AMG G55 Build

Also stumbled across this almost empty area in the drivers side rear when I was removing the unused antennas. I'm definitely going to do something fun here, it is a good size for a battery or some...

    Re: 2011 AMG G55 Build

Small amount of progress today. Removed the old telematics system that is no longer in operation then installed the rear bumper and receiver hitch. I probably won't get around to hooking up the...

    Re: re-Introduction from Longmont

I test drove one of those 4runners a few weeks back and was floored with how well it handled. Nice find and welcome back.

    Re: Wheeling in Australia

It was these guys who break so many parts that the guy behind the camera seems to be able to diagnose them by the sound of the snap. https://youtu.be/st_uEcj77lY

Great video Tom, I would love to...

    Re: Wheeling in Australia

I haven't watched this vid yet but have been watching a bunch of Aussie wheeling vids lately and man they break more parts than I have ever seen.

    Re: 2011 AMG G55 Build

That GWVR limit is just due to the AMG short suspension. The chassis, brakes, and axles are rated way higher and I'll be fixing the suspension, so yeah, you can be assured I'll be loading it up with...

    Re: 2011 AMG G55 Build

Some googling and I learned that those antennas are for a built in telematics system, GM Onstar type thing which I will absolutely never use so I will just remove them.
  18. Re: Canyonlands Maze District (May 6,7,8,9)

Also, Ty, are you going this year?
  19. Re: Canyonlands Maze District (May 6,7,8,9)

I won't have my rig ready in time for this trip but as someone who went to Utah camping with Matt and Trent last year I'll just say it was the highlight of my year and anyone who can get the time off...

    Re: 2011 AMG G55 Build

Made a little garage time tonight. Pulled the stock rear fiberglass bumper and rear fuel tank guard off in preparation to put a new steel rear bumper on and a trailer hitch. The 2009-2011 G-Wagen's...

    Re: 2011 AMG G55 Build

There is something that can go wrong by enforcing them to be sequential, if the center fails, you have no rear or front lockers. The mod I did doesn't actually allow me to enable front without...
  22. Re: Canyonlands Maze District planning for spring

Good to know it's a different place, I was thinking you guys had gone nuts from the isolation for a minute there.
  23. Re: Canyonlands Maze District planning for spring

I just searched youtube for the maze as I never bothered last year. This came up https://youtu.be/J5pU-fxIeD0

Mine (Tactical 4x4 swing out) was a hood strut from a Nissan Maxima.
  25. Re: Jeep Jamboree replacing CB with GMRS for 2021

Yeah, but if they do t want to study for a test just to get a license for a radio they will use a few times a year, do you even want to bother trying to talk to them?
