  1. Re: I Need your tips and tricks to breaking in to my Jeep!

Is it rusting badly? Ty does the floorboard technique on his old rusty J10 Jeep.

I couldn't hang with Gerald on the wall but got to take a few of his lines through the rock garden which I loved.

Ty crawled right up this, I expected at least some wheel spin on the slick tree root. It was really fun to watch.

Those are around the numbers I was thinking of as well, thanks for writing them down Jim. I think battery technology will increase density but the sun just doesn't put out enough power for solar to...
  7. Re: Electric vehicles - general thoughts / comments / advances

Would solar charging ever be realistic? Even if tomorrow someone came out with 100% efficient solar cells, that's what, 4x what you can get today? Doesn't seem like enough to me. Or are you...

Re: Yankee Hill to Miner's Gulch

I skipped out on spring creek, started getting super sleepy on the drive home so decided to just head home and nap. Looking forward to it Friday though. Either day works for me though if we need to...

    Re: Chinaman Gulch 11/23/2021

It was a great day, that trail is one of my new favorites. It has more of a variance in difficulty than most trails I have seen so a much smaller rig can clear it just fine, yet Gerald and I were...

    Re: Bronco Off-Roadeo

I'd do a Jeep Jamboree or something like it someday just to see all of the builds. The bit about the lack of articulation is funny, at the Land Rover events they make sure to include a spot that...
  11. Re: Chinaman Gulch or ??? Any Day Mon 11/22 to Saturday 11/27

9am works for me. If that's too early for you 10am is fine too. Mostly I'm just throwing out early times because I'm planning on avoiding the 3 hour drive there which would usually have me pushing...
  12. Re: Chinaman Gulch or ??? Any Day Mon 11/22 to Saturday 11/27

Fairly early is good for me. Itís a 3 hour drive with lots of trail time so I think I will get a hotel there Monday night so Iím fresh for the run and not exhausted on the drive home.

Any day but Monday works for me. I also have the week off.

    Re: 2011 AMG G55 Build

It was the portals. I think they tried to keep them as narrow as possible, and they were able to make the front narrower than the rears due to the brake configuration, but I prefer them the same...

Re: Rubber Hose for brake fluid

There are SAE standards for all of the hose types on our cars. Some overlap and cover multiple types. The standard for Dot 3/4/5.1 (non-silicone) is J1401 so if you find hose compatible with that...

They are great for the that. I timed it on my LR4 and they were almost exactly the same time to air down as the valve-core removal air down gauges but definitely easier on the knees.

    Re: 2011 AMG G55 Build

The front track width was an inch or so narrower than the rear, which I didn't love but wasn't an issue until I installed the CTIS, then I realized that the air port actually stuck out an inch too...

Thanks for those carb pics, brings back memories of wrenching when I was young 25 years ago. Haven't had anything with a carb besides a dirt bike in a long time but it sure makes me feel nostalgic.
