  1. Re: Need help installing new gears into my Currie High Pinion

Just to update. Motive gear sent the wrong pinion. Right ring gear but pinion wasn't a reverse cut. So, after a couple hours of talking with folks in charge, it was set. They next day aired a new set...
  2. Re: Need help installing new gears into my Currie High Pinion

Thanks man! Hopefully after this mine will be ready for the trails this summer! Then I will be pulling the short arms off of the wifes Jeep, and long arming it by end of March. Then hers should be...
  3. Re: Need help installing new gears into my Currie High Pinion

Yeah, I was originally going to try to do it. Like you said, its something I should really know how to do. I did the diffs in my old TJ, but I had help. I really wanted to do this one so I would know...
  4. Re: Need help installing new gears into my Currie High Pinion

Went ahead and dropped it off with Scotty over at Addicted Offroad. He said he can get it done tomorrow. I appreciate everyones input here and the offers to help!
  5. Re: Need help installing new gears into my Currie High Pinion

  6. Re: Need help installing new gears into my Currie High Pinion

  7. Re: Need help installing new gears into my Currie High Pinion

Thanks Brucker. I just sent him a message.
  8. Re: Need help installing new gears into my Currie High Pinion

I talked with Scotty, but I dont have quite enough at the moment to get him to do it. I havent tried anyone else yet. Funds are tight and I know most prices will be more than I have to spend right...
  9. Re: Need help installing new gears into my Currie High Pinion

  10. Re: Need help installing new gears into my Currie High Pinion

I appreciate it Tom, unfortunately I wont be able to make it that far to do this. Im going to be pretty much limited to Loveland area or north up towards me in Wellington.
  11. Need help installing new gears into my Currie High Pinion

  12. Re: Camber Adjusting Shims for D44 (Late 70's model out of a Bron

Super easy install. Basically just like replacing an axle. Just pull the rotor, caliper, and spindle, then in put it in there and clock it for how many degrees you need to adjust. The shim cost me...
  13. Re: Camber Adjusting Shims for D44 (Late 70's model out of a Bron

Yeah, tires are too expensive to let em get eat up like that!!
  14. Re: Camber Adjusting Shims for D44 (Late 70's model out of a Bron

Good question. I havent found anything on that, but I will probably pull it back apart in a couple weeks and check it over regardless.
  15. Re: Camber Adjusting Shims for D44 (Late 70's model out of a Bron

Shim did the trick. Just wanted to post this update for everyone!!
  16. Re: Camber Adjusting Shims for D44 (Late 70's model out of a Bron

If I put it with the thin part at 12 oclock, it should only adjust my camber. If I need less or more and have to turn it slightly, it should just adjust my toe, which will be an easy fix. I talked to...
  17. Re: Camber Adjusting Shims for D44 (Late 70's model out of a Bron

Ah, ok, we are looking at totally different things. This is the route im going to go with. http://www.ingallseng.com/26126-6-bolt-knuckle-camber-shim.html. Unfortunately, even though NAPA and...
  18. Re: Camber Adjusting Shims for D44 (Late 70's model out of a Bron

Well, I need to revise my search now. Just talked to PO, and the axle is actually out of a 79 waggy, with rotors and calipers from a 79 Bronco. So, now I need to call all the part stores back and see...
  19. Re: Camber Adjusting Shims for D44 (Late 70's model out of a Bron

Checked NAPA and Carquest. They dont have them in stock, but can have one in a few days or so.
  20. Re: Camber Adjusting Shims for D44 (Late 70's model out of a Bron

Thanks guys. I originally wanted to go with an adjustable balljoint, but I think the shim would be just as effective and probably a little quicker to do. Ill check rock auto and see what they have. I...
  21. Camber Adjusting Shims for D44 out of a 79 Wagoneer

Anyone know where I might be able to pick up a shim or 2? Someone that might stock them. My front passenger has positive camper and its really wearing the outside of my tire.
