    Re: The Campfire.

I feel that man. I fixed the fuel filling issue in the Rubicon and still haven't been able to take it out...the most miserable assignment I've ever had ends in June next year. Already counting down...

    Argentine McClellan 2 Oct

Great day out there! Pretty cloudy to start, started to clear up as we got to the Argentine Pass lookout -- already got some snow on the trail there. Beautiful by the time we got up McClellan. On the...

Re: I (also) bought a TJ

I started the Jeep today to head out wheeling and the Check Gauges light came on. Turned it off. OBDII scanner said there's no code (probably because the CEL didn't turn on?) But the key three times...

Well, I'm not going anywhere today. Rubicon said "Check Gauges" and gave a code this morning when I started it. Full story in my build thread

Seeing no response, I will probably pass right by the Conoco and keep going. Consider this posted in the "When you head out alone" thread. I will check in by 3 pm.

Re: I (also) bought a TJ

Another small project to take The Beast "from happy to glad". I realized the second speed on the fan didn't work.. 1, 3, and 4 worked fine. Figured it had to be the blower motor resistor. $25 on...

    Re: Mod For The Day

No welding. After grinding/sanding out as much rust as I could, I hit it with 2 coats of a rust encapsulator. There's different schools of thought on applying bondo over a primer like that. Anyway I...

    Re: Mod For The Day

Curious to see how it turns out! Did my first-ever bondo job on a rusted out part of the front passenger fender. Turned out pretty shoddy :lmao: fortunately most of it is covered by the fender flare....

Re: I (also) bought a TJ

Thanks for the offers guys! I was able to get after this this morning and had kind of an odd experience. Dropped the tank, pulled the fuel pump, reached in to pull the valve thing and it wouldn't...

Cool, I'm in! Looks like based on the weather this earlier run is the way to go :thumb:

I'm a maybe! Would I have any trouble running this in my red jeep? I've done Kingston before but I think this is a different route

    Re: Satellite Communicator

That's what I'm wondering though, would you have to pay your cell phone bill AND a monthly subscription to Globalstar if you want that extra service? I would think so, but who knows

I never closed the loop on this story, TjMike and others were correct: "just pull harder"...driveshaft came apart fine, regreased the splines and replaced the boot. Bought a cheesy CV joint boot...

Paul I'm actually in the market for something like this. Was about to jump on the SpotX, but I'm actually leaning more towards the thing you posted now. Let me know what you end up buying!
