It was closed due to boulders and washes making it very narrow in a few spots. I believe there was a recent roll over too.
The county website says "close part of a county road on Saxon." Sounds like they are closing the switchbacks above Georgetown.

Exactly, the county controls the portion of the road from Georgetown to just past the switchbacks, after that it is a FS road.
Any info on Saxon being open? I've not done any searching, hoping someone may know.
Repairs have been made and it is now open again.
Is it an easy/moderate/difficult trail? If it’s not sketchy we should make a test run 🤓

It's a fun fun trail, definitely white knuckles in places. It's been a year or two since I've been on it. Could definitely be swayed to do it depending on the day.
