Cool old upright Ramsey winch
Kind of cool...very similar to the old Bellvue/Warn upright series (8274), but made by Ramsey. Unlike the early Bellvue series, this has power in and out with brake (like an 8274). Would be good for the 58....

Go for it!
It looks complete. To me, the price seems quite fair.
Re: Cool old upright Ramsey winch
At first I posted it just because its cool to me, and I've never seen another company make a spur gear, upright winch like the Bellvue/Warn series....but starting to think it might be worth adding to my collection. But another jeep contact saw my posting on the ecj5 forum and is pursuing it for his old flat fender jeep - but he lives in St Louis so we'll see what happens. If he doesn't work out a deal, I may try......One downside to a front mounted winch on an old wagon is you have to remove the front air diverter piece that sits behind the bumper and on the frame rails. Its quite possibly the most artistically shaped and multiple curved and ribbed piece of sheet metal on the entire wagon - and many have been lost or damaged and no replacements are available. I still have the one for my 58.....but a winch is cool too....

You'll head over and buy it - either for you or for St. Louis. When St. Louis comes to ride trail, the exchange will happen.
If St. Louis isn't in a hurry, I might be a $40 delivery shuttle - it's been a while since I've enjoyed some Kansas City BBQ...
