Description Halfmoon Creek - I'm only interested in doing the easier side to the right/north (110 I think) that goes to the mill. Beautiful scenery as you drive through a creek down in a valley between 14ers. The mill itself appeared to be surprisingly intact last I saw in 2018, standing about a few stories tall still with the equipment in and around it.
Folks interested in the more challenging side can head down to the left/southwest along 110J for some rock crawling, otherwise we can head right on down to Tincup Pass, stopping for a break in Buena Vista at least for gas.
Tincup Pass is a beautiful mountain pass which goes slightly above treeline and past a lake. It starts at St. Elmo ghost town, which while somewhat commercialized and privatized, is still neat to see given how intact it is. There is also a cafe with a patio next to a pond in Tincup that serves delicious pie, and last time we saw a moose near the reservoir.
