i bobed my bed and in the process i lost my bumper and any rear recovery points. So i needed to fab something up. I had a piece of 3x2x1/4 tubing laying on the side of the house, and a draw-tight trailer hitch that come off my truck. So some cutting, grinding, welding and a few hours later this is what i came up with whatcha think?

With the extra width you have you could tie in an exocage... Just sayin, on a more serious note you will have to find a new mount for your plate as that will get you pulled over in a hurry

i mounted it on the bumper( L.P.) with zip-tie's for now. im going to tack some threaded rod on and then nuts and washers. i plan on extnding 2'' DOM to just behind the rear tire to protecket the lower rear corners, then one day an exocage :D

This may help in the future. It is a list of all the metal suppliers around the area:

Also, check out Altitude Steel. Doug, the owner, will make you some very good 'cash' deals from his scrap bin if you mention either my name, Peter Brody, or Front Range 4x4. I just hooked up another friend who is doing an XJ buggy/truggy and he said that getting hooked up with Altitude has probably save him between $200-300 bucks so far...

Sounds like the way mine is held on right now....zip ties and very minimal bolts.

Hey SubaCool...it isn't even complete. It seems to be missing the whole trunk....Does that mean it is being sold at a discount?

How about posting some of your race pictures sometime?

I think it's MIG. 2nd pic on post #3, shows a gas cyl on the back of his miller.
