Agreed, they've made some awesome vehicles. They're just overpriced and ugly. I'd prefer a Veyron for speed over any Mercedes any day. Or an R8

Well yeah, of course I'd take a Veyron over just about any other road car. The AMG devision of Merc makes some badass cars, and the S class is almost always a car ahead of its time too. First for 3 point seat belts, air bags, cruise control, and such.

I will say that for the money, the new V10 version of the Audi R8 is near the top of the list for cars I would be willing to spend the money on if I had it. Seems to be the perfect combination of style, comfort, and badass performance. I have to say, this one is probably at the top of the list though.....

Now we're really off topic lol. But yes, Lotus makes an awesome car. Not fast in a straight line, but will out handle a cheetah! Some of the stuff in the S class is astonishing. However, I still feel that a car is a car. A car shouldn't be breaking for it's driver because they were too busy talking on the phone, doing their makeup, and searching the internet since their car is not a hotspot. I'll take the lotus with no AC, power windows, or radio!

Haku
November 6th, 2009, 10:13 AM
Fast is a relative term. It'll do 0-60 in 4 seconds, which while its not record breaking, is still damn fast. May have a little 4 banger in it, but its super charged, and the fact that the thing weighs about a ton helps too. I agree that I'll take a "no frills" sports car over a luxury one almost every time. Though, and Aston Martin DBS would be badass for long road trips, and in general.

hehee....I've been in a thread hijack mood a bunch lately it would seem.
