View Full Version : Mammoth Gulch & West Magnolia

As suggested earlier, we've taken the DeLorean back to the 14th, grabbed our Subaru, and went for a drive in the mountains :D

We went up Apex and over Mammoth Gulch to West Magnolia and down 72 to Golden. Just a nice drive in the hills. Mammoth gulch had some snow right pass Apex and down the other side. There was some weather moving in so we've aborted the plans to go check out Kingston (I wanted to bad though). It was snowing at the top so we just continued on down and to West Magnolia. WM was clear. I was quite disappointed with the first hill as it was obvious that a grader has been through it very recently (the bypass on the right). It's been smoothed and packed down, even Smash wouldn't have any problems through it now :p We've cruised through WM in about 30 minutes and continued down 132 to hwy 72 and down to Golden.

This thing looked like it was stuffed. It stayed in this position for about 5 minutes, didn't even move its ears.

Didn't try it because of too many factors this time. Mainly the lack of time (:princess: wanted to meet her friend in the afternoon, and we got a late start) and not having a second vehicle with us. I'm sure it won't be anything too hard, just bumpy :thunb:

That is a sick and probably dying deer. They are never that skinny and ratty looking this time of year. Don't feel bad...Coyotes and foxes gotta eat, too....
