LaDawn and I were thinking that a night run to either Jenny Creek or, better yet, Middle St Vrain/Coney Flats would be fun. We are trying to get an idea of who would be interested and what dates and times would work out for everyone. We are thinking that a meeting time at the trail head in Camp Dick off of Peak to Peak around 7:00. The run would essentially end 10-11PM.

MSV/Coney would be the better of the two simply because you don't have the terminal drive up Rollins Pass to deal with for a relatively short (though fun) trail. We did MSV/Coney a couple of years ago up to the lake solo because the lame brains from ColoGO4S posted a run and no one showed up. We got tired of waiting for these noshows and ran the trail up to the lake, then came back down to Camp Dick and home...it was a lot of fun.

Camping in Camp Dick or off of the switchbacks is an option, but would likely be a little crowded.

I will be doing a night run Saturday night. Not sure what trail yet because I'm unsure of the conditions. We will be camping in the Rollinsville area. We are going to do some snow bashing on Jenny creek Sunday. When you guys decide to do a night run, I will be there. I'm interested in meeting all of you!

I ran MSV twice last year at night and it was fun.

Running Coney Flats at night without some good illumination might get kinda tricky though.

I put on some semi utility lights on the front, and wired up some rock lights underneath. I wonder how long before I shatter them........
