www.brunton.com (http://www.brunton.com) has a GoPro battery / backdoor for $49.99 that is equal to about 4 regular gopro batteries and is USB rechargeable. I just ordered one from * edit, deleted the link to the warming store do not recommend them. * and used code freeship14 for free shipping.

my dumbass didn't read it correctly, it's for the hero 3+, not the hero 3. The cameras are identical in dimension, it's the standard case that is different. The battery works fine with a hero 3, and a hero 3 will fit perfectly into a hero3+ case. I had to buy a hero 3+ case, $37.00 on amazon for it to work. you can get a knock off case from ebay / china for $25.00, but then you go to hell for being un-American. Owning a gopro will nickel and dime you to death.

Also the warming store is not a good store, read yelp for more. I did not have a good experience with them. you can get the battery directly from brunton.com, and they are in Boulder too!
