On the Cemetery run last year my wife closed the window on the cb cable and opened the door, ripping the cable out of the back of my CB. It gave me the chance to cut out over 5' of cable that I had coiled and cable tied previously, thought it might be useful for someone else to do that. I found this part on amazon:

that you just strip and crimp the cable (mine's RG-58) and pop it on, basic monkey work. Pics of the job, takes about 2 minutes:
