Put a Posi-LOK in my Dana 44 on my Ram. The electronic switch for the dash (4WD) is on all the time now, locked or unlocked. I have the 2 wire plug that I cut out & hooked up the wires one to each terminal (polarity doesnt matter by instructions) I even swapped the wires & the lights still on. Ideas? What diff oil does everybody seem to use? What weight, & company? I was wanting to got synthetic if possible. Whats the capacity on a Dana 44?

You should be good with anything from 90-140. Use a muti viscosity oil if you want to. I buy gear oil by the 5 gallon pail, so I get what is on sale. I use synthetic if I can afford it.

Fill it up to where it starts to run out of the fill plug. Expect to use more than you figured on. One quart won't do it.

Can't help with the electrical...

I got 6 bottles of Mobil 1 synthetic 75w-90 last night. I opted to go with the low temp synthetic since Ill be using this rig as my sled hauler up in the range. Test drive tonight, fingers crossed she stays together.
