Well, you know I had to counter with this. And this shows the bouncing FJ40 style of four-wheeling is standard, not something I invented. :D

Nice!

I especially like the one Rob posted because it showed both an FJ55 and an FJ40 actually passing someone on the paved road, something that doesn't actually happen in real life...:lmao:

I got a headache just watching that. :lmao:

These old commercials are pretty cool!

The Toyota comercial sure left the Jeep one in the dust!! Thanks Colin and Rob! Nothing beats the Jeep Army test videos though...

Truth. It will cruise at 85 mph all day.....if you're going downhill with a tailwind

:lmao: Yeah, but it'd have to be a hurricane-force tailwind.

Top speed on the highway of my former '75 FJ40 was maybe 64 mph, and that's when it was only seven or eight years old.

Nice, impressive vid!

I really question if anyone would want to be in the cab while the vehicle was being winched up the side of the dam. Partially up that face and anything cause the rig or cable to fail - long way down to a hard stop (ugh).

Edit: and that vid's from the pre-computer-graphics era!

Neat watching those Toyotas crossing the river . I think mine would float away if I tried that :erm:
