I briefly looked at part 2 of the Heart Attack Hill Rollover idiocy and came across this other fine example of low collective brain power at work. I mean really, how much brain power does it take to realize that a semi truck weighs a little bit? And that a few people pulling on it are really not going to stop it from sliding off the cliff? Come on....And no, I wouldn't call these folks 'optimistic' simply 'stupid'....

the truly stupid one was the one in the drivers seat as it went down the cliff. What made him think he could back it out with out being strapped off. Smarter to pay the $10,000 dollar tow bill than die or have to buy a new truck.

i saw a video a long time ago that involved some people trying to jump start their well built mall crawler by borrowing someone elses battery and turning it upside down and trying to get the posts to touch hoping that would work.

What in the world would a semi be doing on that narrow trail in the first place??? Had I been the dunce in the drivers seat, I would have made a b-line for the passenger door in the few split seconds I "may" have had.

As for the guy in the second video, did he really think his leg was going to stop the "feared" roll-over? I love how calm the camera man was. And he was abviously concerned with staying the trail as well. Loved his comments!

Isn't that first video off the death road in South America. Chile I think.

Argentina I think. Same road that Jezza and company drove in the South American Top Gear episode.

Seems to me that so many "Stupidity videos" are cropping up that it might be time to make an official thread.

Just so Toyota guys don't feel left out or the Jeep guys don't feel like they are getting ganged up on....

That video is from Tennessee, which is south of the Mason Dixon line. It almost doesn't count due to that fact. :D

I have passed gas that had a higher IQ quotient than a lot of folks down there.....and I lived down there for 18 years. Aside from my parents (who were thankfully Phi Beta Capa grads from Cornell), it wasn't until I moved up north that I realized that people could actually say multi syllable words without a serious stutter step....

he was lucky he wasn't killed. and you can see how lucky he was that the first rollover didn't barely cause any damage. windshield was not even cracked. but they couldn't outsmart gravity.
