Moab May 13-16
Just a few pics from today. I wasn't able to meet everyone at City Market in the morning but caught up with them early into the Fins 'n Things trail. Chris, Steve, Aaron, Rob, (I'm forgetting someone) were at the first event what I call loop de loop when I caught up with them. They went on to run T.O.W. later, but I had to head back home.

Thanks for posting. I don't recognize the last obstacle pictured, and I have done the trail. Apparently I have not done it recently enough.

That's on the first leg of FnT just before you get back on the county road for the second half. Chris didn't know about it either. I'ts close to several campsites and is part of the "official" trail. It just makes a short loop back onto the main trail.

I got a call from Chris saying Steve broke a rear differential part on T.O.W. Only has front wheel drive. Will be bringing it here to work on. They should be here any time now but there's no cell phone coverage on the River Road so I can' call (and visa versa) for an update.

Sorry to hear about the issues. Any updates on that? Thanks for the pics though. Fins n Things is a lot of fun. Hopefully Steve has some luck getting it back together and it was just a small issue or something. TOW isn't a particularly harsh trail, but who knows. Hopefully people got some good pictures. As always, the pics don't do the obstacles justice, but its always cool to see.

Had a GREAT day with some GREAT people! We did Kane Creek after Steve got his rear diff back together. I'll just post pix from yesterday that didn't get posted right and from today. The day went perfect and had a great time. The trail has it's testy moments.... just ask DrOldUnit about it. The main thing is I brought 'em all back alive. Testimonials to follow.......

Not much luck with this connection so more pics will have to wait.
I have to say the last 2 days have been great, it's really a lot of fun when everyone's working together doing some pretty cool trails. Fins and Things is always fun and Kane Creek is a fantastic area with some obstacles that were intimidating especially with the ledge involved. Thanks to Marty and everyone for great spotting, support of each other and making these two great days.

I made it home, and under my own power. As Marty said, I had diff problems. Lost a bunch of teeth of my spider gears in the rear. Fortunately Marty is pretty well connected in Moab, and we found some good replacement gears, and for way cheaper than I was expecting. Tore down the axle, put the new gears in, and we were on the trail by noon. I couldnt have asked for a better outcome.
