Thread: FS 302A snow

    Default FS 302A snow



    This trail is dying due to too many tree blockages. My friend Ron and I decided to try to clear it.

    Not too far down, Ron ended up un a gully. When I pulled him with the winch, I got pulled down. I dug some big holes getting out. These holes made the recovery more difficult. It took about 2 1/2 hours in extremely slippery conditions. I need some chains! :P

    I didn't get any pics of the 'fun' stuff, but heres some:

    This is how far it pulled Jeff down. This also shows how steep the grade is.


    I am still so impressed with my little X, once turned around, it drove right out......

    Kind of exhausting, but fun. You can see I almost busted my a$$ in one of the shots. I can't take any of the credit for pix as Ron got most of then.

    That road isn't very remote, but very unpolular. It's possible if you've explored the South Rampart area.

    Thanks. It's unfortunate we didn't capture how off-camber he slid. We were too busy getting out of there.

    I will be back soon to finish the job. There are 8 more trees across.
