    Default questionable installs

How about a thread for questionable installs you have seen? I stumbled across a racing harness install step-by-step that I found rather unsafe (although josh dissagreed a little), but it got me thinking... we have all seen it. The 2 foot long leaf spring shackles... the 1 foot tall axle blocks... any horror stories??

note : original post changed because frankly i didnt want to see an all out brawl about safety issues... some people saw the post with this link which i found to be rather unsafe... especially caiming to be "the right way"

The other thing to think of with seat belts is the shoulder harness heights due to the risk of a spinal compression. If the mounting point is too far below your shoulder level, the force of an impact as you move forward against the seatbelt will actually push down on your spine, causing a crushed or ruptured disc, etc.

I am not sure which puzzles me more, the chains on the front, or the barely wet pavement with chains on...

The guy in the pass seat is the same guy that will lift the hood when it dies and stand there and stare for a minute or two and then poke his head around the hood and say "try it now"

Thats not questionable, thats AWESOME!!!! How cool would feel with that tricycle as a little kid?

Unfortunately I think its just two wheels set next to a little bike. I'd give credit where its due if they actually built that though.

I like that one Randy! How many people do you think were involved with that recovery or were standing around? 8-10, maybe?

Sad, sad, sad...that with that many people there, including trained rescue people...I did see someone in a firefighter's uniform..that there wasn't enough brain power on tap to be able to avoid something like that....

When we...or should I say LaDawn....flopped the rig, I took it out of gear and turned the key off. When I turned the key off, I put it back in gear. Why? Because we were pointing downhill and I didn't want it to roll when it went back to rubber side down...
