    Default Hello from Moab

    Hello y'all,

Most 4-wheelers go to Moab.... but after 20 years here we're ready for a change. My wife (Betty) and I are looking to possibly relocate to around the Loveland area. We will begin looking the end of the month. July 30th to be exact. Then we're off to Yellowstone on a short vacation. Betty was born and raised in Denver and we want to be around our (Denver) grandkids more. However, 4-wheeling is next in line and actually dictates what direction I head. So here I am getting the cart before the horse by other peoples standards.

I drive a '94 XJ with a 5" lift and all (most) of the bells and whistles ($$$) infrastructure. No bling.

As I get closer to a final decision as to where and when the move will happen, I'll be checking on your trail runs that I think I can make.

In the mean time, any of you heading this way that needs some info, I'd be glad to help.

A special thanks to Chris for getting me going on this forum as I'm done with the traditional club thing but didn't want to be a loner.

I was rooting around for some pix but having a hard time locating ones with just the Jeep. Lots of pix of scenes and other Jeeps....... I'll dig a little deeper. I may have to resort to driveway shots

Thanks for your welcoming. We'll be poking around looking at houses on the 4th / 5th. to get a feel for the area. Going to try and work in a few days to do one of the trails maybe the end of September with FR4x4. I'm doing San Juan County (UT) trails for a week+ the first week of Sept. and Ouray / Silverton & Escalante for 2 1/2 weeks in October. I'll get some pix posted as soon as I can find some.

And this was my first Jeep which I had for 30 years. 1946 CJ2A. In the photo it had a Chevy II 4cyl. When I "sold" (traded for a '79 CJ-7) it, it had a 350 Chevy with a 350 automatic tranny and the CJ-7 also had a 350 Chevy but with a T-18. The CJ-7 I had for 10 years and sold it and I've had the '94 XJ for almost 5 years.
