    Default After Cleanup Run

    Hey,

We're muddying the waters of the Cleanup thread with planning an after the cleanup run. Lets use this to plan the post cleanup run...

So, where does everyone want to go?

Somebody wants to wheel... That sounds more like a weekend of wheeling than a slight detour after the cleanup... But I'm the noob.

I'm thinking a nice calm on the way home (almost) Yankee Hill run. I could talk the better half into that.

Pass on Saxon unless you haven't done it. It is simply TEDIOUS and not much fun at all. Kinda like going to the dentist and with the same appeal....

I was thinking more Elephant Hill or Mill Creek Loop or maybe Spring Creek through the rock garden...something at least with some bumps that you can feel....And these are very close. You don't have to drive an hour or so to get to them, either

I am not in on the after-clean up run, but hope we get done at a decent hour and you all have a good time on the fun run.

    Hey Brian

I found a bunch of leaf catcher bags that go on lawnmowers at a small engine repair shop down the street from me that had gone out of business. I am going to be bringing them along with me for anyone that wants one. They will work great, have a heavy duty mesh outside and a heavy plastic back.

I am going to drill a couple of holes in the plastic backing on mine so that I can lash it on my heap.

I have 6-8 of the right now and am going to be making a swing by there this AM to see if there are some more. These will work better than the construction bags as there is usually a lot of glass.

As to what else to bring, probably just a pair of decent gloves for the same reason..and maybe a flat shovel for use as an outside dustpan..

Agreed on Saxon. I could be persuaded to run Red Elephant/Mill Creek if there's enough time. Not so much on Spring Creek, and definitely not down Spring Creek. Tried that a couple weeks ago and ran into about 50 rigs coming up the trail. All in all, a Charlie Foxtrot.

Hello all -- since some people may have stock rigs...what are your thoughts on I70--to fall river road to yankee hill to cut over to Kingston peak (over 12,000 ft) down to mammouth gulch to Tolland (west of Rollinsville) to Rollins Pass to SNOW BASHING ON JENNY CReek to Yankee Doodle Lake!!!

Sounds good to me. Looks like plenty of oppty to bail if it gets too late or if the kids (or dads) are too tired.
