You might want to change that Funrover, they're not a good company when you file a claim. As a matter of fact my mother (85 years old) was asking about switching and asked who I recommend and said "Don't even mention State Farm!"

    Yep, she once had them.

Sorry, I don't know why they refuse to pay for chip repair now. They are the only one's that I know of and I have list's of insurance companies I have never even heard of that pay for it.

Another thing I forgot to add is insurance will only pay for damage that is 6 inches or less. You got to be able to cover the whole damaged area with a dollar bill.

Funrover, paying out of pocket is still much cheaper than paying your deductible for a new windshield(unless your deductible is $0 of course)

In order to reseal, I believe the windshield wil have to be removed and reinstalled. In short, no I don't do repairs like that...sorry. Also, windshields are very hard to remove without breaking them, check with a local replacement company and see what they say.

I don't do re-sealing, I can do single line cracks up to 12 maybe 14 inches.

A couple of things, the crack cannot intersect two edges of the windshield, one is okay. If you have a chip with more than 2 long cracks(over 2 inches coming off it, it is not repairable). Also the newer the crack the better the repair will turn out. If it has been months and you have been wheelin and got muddy water on the windshield it more than likely will have to be replaced. My $ varies depending on the length of crack...call me (720)256-7078

If it is pitted badly a replacement is probably the way to go, just make sure you use a NGA certified shop(National Glass Association) windshields play an integral part of the structure and safety aspects of the vehicle these days. One that is installed wrong can be deadly to the passengers.

I will usually take care of a few of the bigger pits on windshields while I am doing a chip repair but lots of highway time means more than likely it is freckled up pretty bad.

My website has lots of info about windshield repair feel free to check it out! http://www.RoosWindshieldRepair.com

Thanks for the interest guys if I can help let me know!

I have glass coverage on my rig. No matter what window busts or gets busted I have someone out in a matter of hours to fix it. I go through Heartford Insurance. Great company! I dont pay a deductable. I pay an extra 7 bux a month for it. Not a bad investment for sure.

Yeah, do this Reese! For those of you who don't know, Reese does a stellar job! He fixed the Escort windshield and it looks great, too.

Even if you don't have a rock ding or crack in yours, I bet you know someone who does. Why not do a little net working and give them Reese's contact information? He is not the only person on the site who is self employed and word of mouth works very well to generate business...
