    does anyone know where to buy 8" steel pipe caps? i'm looking to make diff covers out of them. but i havn't had any luck finding any.

    THey are weld caps and not threaded caps. They have a good tapered edge for welding to the housing.

    I see no need to use a full cap for one diff. See my pictures in the other thread. You cut in in half and then you have enough to do both. I also put a truss later on the top of my axle too but not in the pictures shown..
