    Default 273.2 and Pickle Gulch

Did a little dinking around above Central City yesterday afternoon. I was surprised to see the development going on near the Boodle Mill... I headed over to 273.2 for a little bit. Not a lot of snow. Turned around and headed over to Pickle Gulch. I didn't get too far from the entrance before I hit the first drift. I tried to get through it but my back end kept sliding into the trees. If I had more time and maybe someone else with me I would have played around more.

I like that area, quick to get to but never heard of Pickle Gulch. Probably been there but since I tend to wander w/o maps I wouldn't know it.

Thanks for the nice pics (as usual)

That is a fun area, I like it cause there are so many off shoots, I still have not tried the rock yet tho I was going to the last time my wife went up but she was afraid since we were alone that I was going to break something or get in a jam.

Where are you going to meet up and what time? I might just be able to go and would like to know...

Will probably have space for a rider if I do go..

Here is the traildamage.com link for the trail for reference:

The rocky spur section is not as bad as it looks from the bottom. I ran up it last year before the snow came.

I am going to go up it that spur this summer it just looks slick towards the top and my wife did not like the idea of it until I had to turn around on the big rock on top and got pointed skyward then she had second thoughts.
