Slaughterhouse Gulch - Sunday May 26

I'm going to be camping nearby after the show at Red Rocks on Saturday, so I want to go hit Slaughterhouse gulch on the Sunday. As per Ryan Boudreau and Mile-Hi Jeep club, the trail is now open and not subject to mud season closure this year.

Hmmm - maybe. I have never traveled it.

Have done the trail once before and had fun. Isn't too difficult. Put me down as a maybe.

First and only time I have run Slaughterhouse. was 15-16 years ago. I think it is time again.

I called the Platte Ranger District two days in a row Wednesday it was " no one in the office runs the trails but we haven't heard anything about it being impassible . Call back tomorrow" Thursday and I quote "I don't know what the person saw writing that article , but all I can tell you is that people are going down there all the time" I will be calling again two or three days prior to the run>

Thanks Leland. Unless the trail is closed, I will be there. The only thing holding me back from confirmed is Im having minor surgery 4 days before and not sure of recovery.

So, when is the meeting time and where? I need to plan on when to leave the house. Its a 2+ hour drive for me. Driving the Expy down isn't gonna be fast. LOL.
