Hi all, super stoked to be here in this group! I have been an avid outdoors person for a number of years, and having just moved back to our true home of Colorado and especially directly in the mountains, Idaho Springs, could not be more excited to get involved with an avid community of other passionate 4x4, trail, and outdoors people!
We just moved back from Las Vegas where we spent a couple of years, and prior to that lived in Lakewood, and prior to that were in Sheridan, WY for a few years for my job, prior to that were in Idaho Springs, and prior to that Thornton, and orignally hailing from northeast Wisconsin.
Welcoming out first kiddo in 2021 in Colorado and we have had 2 dogs (lost one in May, got back to 2 in Nov 2023) we are avid campers, off-roaders, travelers, explorers, and more.
I have been off the beaten path in a number vehicle types, trail styles, and we just adore and love the outdoors.
From the flat and galcier carved lands of Wisconsin, to random forest service trails in Roosevelt National Forest near Estes, near Monument, CO, to the Bighorn wilderness and random trails in Wyoming, to getting lost in Southwest Colorado from Silverton, to Ouray, to Telluride, to Moab, Death Valley, Area 51 and more, there is no shortage of experiences we have been in or been a part of.
I have wheeled in a '98 Montero Sport (similar to 4runner/mid-size SUV), to a more modern 2010 Explorer, to a full size 3/4 ton 2005 F-250, to our current wheeler, a 2012 F-150.
I hope to get out there with the little knowledge I have, because I so much to learn from you all, and typically am available on weekends and some evenings around the immediate area during the week.
Up for camping weekend excursions family-style
- It's my wife and I (in our mid 30s), our "3-nager" toddler, and 9 year old Husky, and current 6 month old Rhodesian Ridgeback
Also up for solo and day-meets anywhere in the state with either myself or potential tag-along buddy in their 4runner
