I may be available, not sure what is open though. My preference is always scenery over difficulty.

I agree with that. I am always on the lookout for a fun ride to take family and friends. Scenery, hiking, picnic always a plus. Along with some off road action to make it memorable but not enough to rattle the skull!!

From this website it says it is open. Pretty easy run, maybe an interesting spur for some challenge. But scenery is supposed to be top notch.

How could I find this on NFS website to confirm open\closed status?

Have you considered Fourmile? It's all open until december, most of it is open year round, it's easy and beautiful, great views of the collegiate peaks. The start of 311 is just south of the intersection of 285 and 24.
