I got new tires yesterday!

I bought a set of BFG Trail Terrain tires yesterday. (My Wranglers were shot with only 30K miles on them. The tread depth on them didn't meet the standards to be on I-70 in the snow). These new ones rate really well in snow, but are really only rated for mild trails off-road. I'll take my chances with that, but certainly wouldn't attempt anything like Coney Flats with them! Since I have to drive to Black Hawk for work, I hope I made a good choice.

What made you go with trail terrain over AT? Interesting that trail terrain are the less capable for trails.. who names these things?!

I think they will handle the daily drive better than the all terrain. I have to take the canyon to Black Hawk to work and that can be pretty scary in a snowstorm. I also think I'll get better gas mileage. I had the KO2's on them as my second set and I didn't like them for my daily drive. Then the Wranglers I just took off didn't last much more than 30K miles. I can say that my ride is MUCH more quiet with these ones!

There is so much going bad on my Jeep right now that I think I'm going to have to start weighing my options of possibly getting a new vehicle in the spring. I'm taking it one fix at a time right now and just hope I can make it through the winter.

`had to look up the CUV definition - "crossover". Essentially a car body with increase ride height.
