Default New to Denver, New to FR4x4, let's go wheeling!

Hello humans, is anyone up for a trail run this weekend?

We're new to the area and have run several trails already. But I want to be more cautious with the snow around the area. Is anyone interested in finding some light snow wheeling?

Check out my intro post here!

Switzerland Trail is on the easy side (old railroad bed) and not too high in elevation (snow might be deep enough for some fun but not too deep????).

I'm tending a possible lower ball joint replacement on my car so I'm out but I'll add this - if you decide to head out solo, look into the "Check-In" thread in Members Only...

I tip my hat to ya for jumping in to get a run rolling.

Thanks for the reply Jim! I appreciate the insight. I had that one earmarked in the FunTreks book, good to know its a candidate for some snow driving. I will definitely check out that thread, but am planning on not going solo for our first snow run

Hey that might work! Unfortunately my ex isn't honoring her agreement so I may be kid free this weekend. Will need something to curb the stress.

Love the location and distance, but its showing closed for the season on TOR! :( Any other suggestions? I've got a few earmarked in my funtreks book but being new here im not sure the best places to look for trails that are still open for the season at lower elevations. Most of the ones I have picked are over 10k

Our sponsored trails show as open (Barbour Fork & Devil's Canyon).

For a 'new to the area' trail - Devil's Canyon would be a nice trail to visit (good views, not overly difficult).

I wonder if we could find some trails down near CO Springs or Pueblo that aren't closed?
