"Had a great time on the trail. Had overcast clouds all day but wasn't too cold and the rain held off just long enough which was nice as I wasnt running a top.
We started Kingston from the Central City/Blackhawk side airing down just before the start. The trail isn't very technical except for a few areas but even then my friend Tyler in his lifted Grand Cherokee, Jackie in her Rubicon, and my Jeep all my easy work of it. We stopped at the first overlook (James Peak Lookout) took pictures and enjoyed the views. Continuing on we did probably the hardest part of the trail which was the climb to Hilltop and on to the Mailbox where we stopped again and took in the sites. We signed the log book and placed our rocks. Apparently it's good luck to bring a rock from 'somewhere else' and place it around the mailbox. There is a sign that says 'Beware of the Lomie' but have no idea what that is. If someone knows please reply as Im really curious.
After the mailbox its a decent descent down to Alice where the trail ends. Jackie and Tyler both aired up and headed back to town while I continued on to run Miners Gulch which running down hill wasnt much of challenge. Definitely will run it up hill next time.
Fun trail with great people made for a fun outing."
My guess is the Lomie is the bigfoot that lives at Loch Lomond a lake down and west of the mailbox
