Classes from TrailsOffRoad.com, looks like fun and if it's informative $500.00 for 3 days of practical instruction and camping with amenities in a great location seems reasonable.

"Join us for this rustic 3-day, 2-night campout in the Sonoran Desert and bring your camping gear.

Overlanding Survival 101 Skills Camp is the exact class our Trails Offroad™ team has taken. While most offroad and overland trips go smoothly, disaster can strike anytime and unexpectedly. Proper planning, decision-making, and the right skills can make the difference between disaster and telling one hell of a story to your friends and family.

This class is crafted around the most common scenario of an inoperable vehicle and injuries sustained. How do you preplan for that, survive long enough for search and rescue to find you, and get help before the unthinkable happens?

---

Age Restriction: This class is 18+ only. We understand that having your family in the outdoors is a priority, but because of the nature of the class and the tools used, this is for adults only. Keep an eye out for family-friendly Skills Camps in the future.
About the Venue and Lodging
Trails Offroad Skills Camps are group self-supported camping events. Overlanding Survival 101 is hosted at the Grapevine Group Site and with the following amenities:

Pottable water
Accessible toilets and central shower building
Fire rings with grills and picnic tables
NO electricity and/or hookups at the individual campsites
The Grapevine Group Site is located near Roosevelt Lake's shoreline in the Saguaro cactus-studded Sonoran Desert. The area is also an offroad paradise. The Sonoran landscape is full of trails that you can explore on your own before or after the event. The trail types range in difficulty from easy to difficult, and you can pick and choose to take just a few-hour tour to a multi-day expedition."
