All the plugs, wires, coil and injectors all have less than 7000 miles on them. Chasing gremlins in 85 degrees and 70% humidity is getting old. I know poor me."

    .
p300 is pre coils fault. Have you checked for dealer reprograms ?
dealer won’t even start to diagnose a problem till they run a reprogram to current standards..

Haha yes I unplugged it and plugged it back in and all my apps are optimized. But really just a fouled up coil. Just did a quick tune up. I made it way harder than it needed to be assuming it was newer and shouldnt be the issue. Paralysis by analysis. Up and running as of this morning.

Not a fan of Fort Collins 4x4. Took my Jeep there for an alignment.

    1) They told me when dropping off the Jeep and the paperwork when I picked it up said the Jeep was getting a full inspection
No inspection was done on the Jeep, I'm certain they didn't even drive it after the alignment. I thought I was going to die on the way home.

    2) The paperwork said they aligned the steering wheel
The steering wheel was clocked at the top to about 1 o'clock, very noticeable.

I ended up calling them and getting a full refund. The told me they couldn't find any paperwork on the inspection so it probably didn't happen. They told me that they realized their alignment machine is also broken. They asked me to come back in and they'll fix it. I declined.

Thanks for the review. They have tended differential work for me - replacing both ARB's in the jeep (the rear was toast when I purchased the jeep and the front killed itself shortly thereafter).

Any recommendation for a different shop that would handle the same work?

I've had two people tell me Bullhide 4x4 was good. They lifted my neighbors Lexus and outfitted him with a roof top rack, he was happy with their work. I tried to get an alignment there but they were booking out into the end of April. I bought some tire deflators from Bullhide and they were nice to me even though I was only spending $60.

I ended up going to Christian Brothers Auto in Windsor. The guy I worked with, Todd, has a lifted JL with 39s and worked at a 4x4 shop in Grand Junction. He moved here to be closer to their family. Todd said they will also do re-gears and he's done plenty when he was in Grand Junction. I'll probably take my Jeep to him when I move to 4.88s this fall.

I hear a lot of good things about Edge Automotive but they're really far and didn't respond to my email, for whatever that's worth.

Fort Collins 4x4 is not the same as 4x4 Off Road. Fort Collins 4x4 is the one on College near Jax. 4x4 Off road is the one on Willox, west of College. 4x4 Off Road has always done very good work for me, I recently had them do the head gaskets on my JKUR. Bullhide has also done great work for me. Full disclosure I have personally known the owners of both for years and the owner of 4x4 Off Road is in my club.

For me - on Willox (well, just off - just nothwest of McDonald’s).

    Happy Easter!

Im near Fort Worth - lots O jeeps. 100% CLEAN. One was stickered up with a 4x4 group name and driver name - not a spec of dirt or dent or tree branch scratch.

With nobody up for 80c exploring I well enjoyed a day off !!! It was relaxing. About 4p - after a post lunch nap - I set about wrapping up the bearing replacement on the spare tire swing-out. `completely forgot to grab some pictures. That simple project complete I re-packed the jeep (removed items from storage when it was out for shop work) and went for an early evening drive around town. All was working as it should.

Over Easter, I spent some time with a family member's Kia - stickshift. The clutch on that car is not easy to get used to. The friction zone is near the bottom of the travel but importantly the zone is very narrow - not an easy slip engagement. Jerky shifts are my norm with that car. Now, my jeep, the friction size is wide and sloppy which leads to smooth shifts - ahhhh...

Not a lot but after the one year $hitshow anything is good.
Had some time to play one the little Ranger. Had some damage to the harmonic balancer and installing the new one noticed the engine was not rolling over. Pulled all the plugs and sprayed the cylinders with good WD 40 and let it set.
    rolled right over.
im hopping now I got my arm back I can get some stuff done..
and as as normal I got in the zone and got no pics... Sorry.

Getting prepped for our RimRocker/Moab trip I repaired my winch (new solenoids, new cable, new controller), relocated the lightbar on the bumper for winch access, 3d printed some end dams for the front end of the softopper rails (they leaked in heavy driving rain so needed something to stop it) with integrated switches for the bed lights and also ran new bed lights.
We put a futon mattress in the back of the Power Wagon and with the softopper we dont need a tent, just sleep in the bed on a bed! So now we have readily available lighting on each side of the bed.

Is it just me or does nothing usually get done on my vehicles until the week before a big trip? I find that to be my most productive time! LOL
