Meeting spot 1: South side of Sandstone Park, Lyons CO
Time: 9am - heading out by 9:15am

Meeting spot 2: The large parking area near the start of the north Bunce School Road trailhead (where the rentals operate out of)
Time: about 9:30am

We'll trek south on Bunce to maybe the meadows gate - snow depth and desire to push through depending.

Heading back north, we'll see who might wish to try Ironclads.

Maybe FRS in the range of 8-14? Those are the channels specifically reserved for FRS, though with our <2W radios we can use any of 1-22.

Are you planning to try to use a CTCSS code on any channels? These are basically auto-squelch assisting codes.

The folks joining me have handhelds of unknown type. I'd be game to test CTCSS even if some of the radios might not be compatible.

FRS 12 then (somewhat random mental pick)

Interesting - these radios do run a battery down. I left one sitting on - not scanning - just on a single channel - and it's dead. I think I last touched it 24 or maybe 30 hours ago. No transmitting, just idle reception.

`least I learned one thing - the battery indicator when charging. The flashing is the charge indication. The "bars" is the battery level.
