Just completed a fun, different project and thought we'd share. Different kind of project for us as we used a material that we normally do not process, granite slab. Was fun to get to play around a little and try something new.
We have had a slab of granite that we rescued from a neighboring granite shop for a while and finally was able to put it to use. The slab in question had broken and this was the largest piece that could be salvaged. You will notice the broken edges.
Laid out a straight cut edged piece that was about 3' x 8'. Then used an angle grinder to cut each edge. It made quick work of the stone and left a desirable "rough cut" finish.

And we were able to save a decent sized piece for a small side table to be built at a later date. It's about 1.5'x3':
