Default Desert off-road racing in the 60s

If you like some old off-road desert racing footage...the footage is a bit rough to start, but its gets better a minute or two in (skip ahead to get the idea).

Wow, no seat belt/harness or helmets for those guys. Love how the passenger leaned out of the Jeep to add more weight to the inside turn (help keep the Jeep from rolling over).

no windshields either...most had a very simple rear roll bar hoop - but no front hoop. One of the roll-bars was kind of rounded at the top - heard a suggestion that was to make it easier to roll back upright and continue on if needed.

Yep, a roll cage with no seat belt or helmet is a head injury waiting to happen.
