The wife is looking at hotel options now, Friday and Saturday wheeling in Moab would be awesome!

Paul, would be great to wheel again! Shane?

I really want to go but due to life complications I can't make any plans right now. It'll probably be one of those things where if I can go I will know at the last minute and end up camping in my truck.

I'm out, a contractor I've been waiting for has had some "Corona-Cancels" and we're hopefully on for that week so I'm planning of being here. Have fun and be safe!

Just got an update from someone who is in Moab today- he's going hiking in Arches which he never does due to the crowds because there is noone there, and while he goes his dog is the only dog at a Doggie Daycare there today; they usually have to turn people down on the weekends.

We leave April 30 and will be wheeling that Friday,Saturday, Sunday and Potentially Monday. Hit me up, we usually find a cool off grid campsite and set up shop.
Its great to be off grid for a couple days...

Youre going to have a great time, the town is quiet, no obvious tourists from Europe or Aisa and noone on the trails. This is the pet food aisle at Moab City Market yesterday- there is toilet paper available, but pet food is scarce. People in Moab have thier priorities straight.

I'm curious what the food situation (restaurants and grocery stores) will be next week. I can envision many restaurants closing if tourist traffic dries up.

I bet some of the big tourist focused restaurants may close.... but grocery stores will stay open and local restaurants probably will be business as usual also. It will be interesting to see how this develops over the next week. Iím feeling optimistic with recent stories about China and South Korea leveling off big time..... Europe is at its peak right now ..... the US probably wonít peak for a week or two but with all the precautions in place letís hope itís a small bump on the trail with smooth roads ahead

I cancelled for next week, per the requests out of Moab to avoid visiting and due to all hotels not allowing check-ins unless you are a local resident or relative of a local resident.

I asked my wife to look into the hotel thing, Iím at staying at a hotel in Cedar City, Utah tonight .... they still have dine in at restaurants here but that stops tomorrow. Itís take out or delivery everywhere in California. I stayed in Las Vegas last night and they told me as of noon today all hotels in Nevada are closing.
What are those people who are traveling (like me currently) supposed to do??? This is going too far. Iím all about precautions and all but this is crazy

Thanks man, we are good tonight and should be home tomorrow.... although it looks like Iíll be driving thru snow. Good thing I have the chains with me! I drove into California early this morning, moved my son out of his dorm room and into my truck (everything fit) and we are in a nice room in Cedar City (an hour north of Saint George, UT)
