Default Kingston Peak Friday Aug 30 Report

I had a great time and everyone else did too. Got lost for a bit but with Chris’ help figured it out. Got on a Yankee Hill spur I had never been on before.

Carnage to my APRS antenna, but that didn’t surprise me much. It was a cheap antenna since I didn’t want to buy an expensive one not knowing if it would work or not. Worked great until a tree branch nuked it.

oh and it was cold on Kingston 52 with what I guess were near 50 mph gusts and a strong wind between gusts.

Thanks again for setting this up Tom and good to see you and Jackie again. I am a bit sore in spots but it is part of the healing process. I didn't get too many pics, a few are below including the trail from a distance, Old Glory with Chinn's lake in the background showing the wind conditions, and one of a tree that should remind us that even if we don't feel fully planted, we can thrive just the same.

Thanks Tom for setting this up and leading the way! Thanks Chris for helping me get turned around in that one spot! It was a great day to be out there despite the wind. (My back is singing a different tune however)! Those are super bumpy trails!
    I took a few pics.
