    Default Pull pal on CL

Anyone ever use one...could be useful for those that go alone, especially in desert or sandy terrain.

I've used anchors like that with a houseboat on lake Powell. I found it to be very hard work to dig it into that rocky soil deeply enough for it to be effective. It's probably useful in more sandy conditions.

I wonder how well they'd work in the snow.

For the very infrequent use it would get in typical wheeling around here, I'd just bury a deadman and save yourself some cash.

that is kind of how I feel...but been thinking of some trips in the escalante region...but I don't plan on being solo very often.

Same reason I don't own Maxtrax or sand ladders, just not that much need for them around here.

I use my maxtrax somewhat frequently in the snow, seems most don't wheel in the snow though.
