well i took it to a place in town (
https://advanced4x4.com/), they said it wouldn't make sense to fab a new crossmember and that they always recommend OEM on the back one (3rd party flashy stuff is normal on the front one)
They said they found a whole bunch of other **** wrong and it's gonna cost me a fortune, lol.. i think their exact words were it was in a bit of bad shape. said my front axle joint or diff is leaking, my steering rods? (might have this name wrong) were very loose, transfer case was leaking a few other things... I dont have it all on paper so I didn't remember everything word for word but im sure it will all be listed on the invoice
I used to have 1 mechanic I went to for everything but he has been super flakey lately and doesn't work out of a shop just his house so I kinda felt stuck like i had to get this fixed and felt a bit forced to trust them with their diagnosis. I could have just had them do the crossmember and re-set the torsion bar and then taken it somewhere else for another opinion but i just said ehh **** it just do everything to get it all taken care of now before something worse breaks from not having these things done. I am hoping they're being straight up with me but am feeling a bit of buyers remorse by telling them to just fix everything they found.
