    From James:

I am going to post the run for thurs 5/30. I am going put 10am meet time at trailhead...but I can change that if someone (jim) would prefer a different time.
Was out in BV today and saw lots of 4wds headed in that direction. Glad to be doing it on a weekday.

    See calendar post here:

James, would you wish to meet up somewhere? C-470 / US-285 area? Not needed - just curious.

Whatever works Jim...Its basically a 2hr drive from 470/285 to the trailhead (or at least to Johnson Village - last stop for gas etc - I will most likely need a stop there). In total, its going to be quite a haul for you coming down from up north. There is a place called The Fort at 285 just west of 470 (hwy 8 - Morrison exit I believe) - its a common meet-up spot, kind of an unofficial park-n-ride, but there is no gas etc.

If you prefer a spot to get gas/coffee etc - then maybe meet up in Conifer? There is a Bradley station in Conifer that works https://www.google.com/maps/place/10....3063728?hl=en

Don't need food/fuel - I know of the fort place as the only time i've been there was with you when you lent your spare tire to the guy in the pickup from Geneva Creek 09/16/2017.

Sounds good...can have a meet-up and caravan from the fort around 8am. I will probably be full of fuel leaving my house and will refill at Johnson Village just before the trailhead (its about 100 miles from the fort to Johnson village).

Denver commute traffic won't be fun though I don't see a time change as having much impact. I'm thinking of getting on the road at 5:45/6a to be before the crunch.

Google Maps says 76 miles / 1:11 which I take as without traffic.

True - guessing you will get to the fort more like 7:30...I'll probably be a little early as well so we can get a head start down the road if no one else joins.

I'll let you know when I get on the road. If David can leave earlier - so be it.

Would love to go on this, had a great time on this trail last year. Hoping the surgeon will bump me up from 25% right leg weight limit when I see him in a couple weeks, at least that will get me a little closer to driving and hitting the trails.

7:15 so we can roll as soon as everyone arrives, thanks David

We are in. My jeep is slow on the highway. Should we leave a little early and meet you guys there or if you don't mind taking a few extra minutes to get out there I can meet up at the fort with the convoy. We don't want to hold anyone up. Let me know either way works for us. Thanks guys.

Don't worry - it can't be slower than my old jeep! You are welcome to join us at the fort... I think we are all hoping to be at the fort right at 7:30 - but Jim will have the most uncertainty with traffic come down from foco. As long as we are on the road before 8am, we should be fine getting to the trailhead in 2hrs. I will need a 5 min detour into johnson village for gas before we leave pavement at the far end.

I'll post up when I walk into the garage to turn the key. I'll be stopping before The Fort for fuel myself.
