option 1: show up at trailhead at 10am
Option 2: guessing a caravan from southwest Denver or conifer will meet around 7:30 on sat morning to head down to trail.

    Thanks James!

Both of those options are Saturday the 22nd, not Friday right?

Edit: nevermind I get it now the Friday vs Saturday camping question had thrown me off

I think that's a great idea and would definitely bring foods to share.

I’m planning on heading up Friday evening to camp that weekend, and thought I’d bringing my pop up trailer with us. Not super familiar with area, just curious if there’s room and flat area for it? (no hook ups)

Plenty of room. Some folks were out with 30 ft toy hauler rvs last year (not in our group).

Awesome! Maybe people that camp from FR can stay in the same area together?

Yep, that's what we did last year. 3 of us camped together. We plan to camp Friday and Saturday in a small trailer as well. Should have some company both nights. We camped up the road a ways on the left side near some trees. I am not certain, but I think this is approximately where we set up camp last year

For anyone else with highway allergies this is a way to go from Denver to China Wall without using any. South Platte River road works either way after Foxton- turning right is faster, goes down Deckers road, but turning left is a longer run down the beautiful river to Deckers.

    Taking Deckers Road:

Anyone coming from the Springs area, feel free to convoy up!
From the Dutch Brothers on 21st it takes an hour.
I'll be leaving the Dutch Bros (624 S 21st St, Colorado Springs, CO 80904) at 0830.

Let me know if I should be looking for you.

Hoping the weather is nice, no way I'm putting the top and doors back on.

Tentatively still planning on heading out late on Friday and camping...if something changes I'll let you know. Although Paul's routes are purposely more scenic and avoid the big highways, if time is an issue (and from your location in Castle Rock), I would consider just heading south on I-25 then west on hwy24. If you are looking for a bit less highway, you could head west through Sedalia and over to 67 at Deckers and then south to Woodland park and west on hwy 24 (from my location in south Denver - this would probably be my preferred route).

Not sure who is actually camping tomorrow night. We plan to be out there before dinner to setup camp. I'll try to camp where we met up last year. In case that spot is already taken, it would be helpful to know who else to look for tomorrow. I see that maybe Happy Camper, FINOCJ, and dbtrooper may be camping tomorrow. Anyone else I should look for?
